  • Gurupurnima : Homeage to whom?

    Guru is a divine word ynonimous to Dronachrya, Vishwamitra, Samarthguru Ramdas since time immemorial....with the passage of time roles and responsibilities of Gurus underwent a great changes...There exist typical gurus in the village school in remote villlages throughout the Indiann subcontinent....They keep pouring their blessings an keep imparting knowledge to their students on single condition/promise to excel in all arena of their life...this is their Guru Dakhina....Thewn there exists a paltform of self proclaimed religious gurus...

    On this day, all spiritual aspirants and devotees worship Vyasa in honor of his divine personage and all disciples perform a 'puja' of their respective spiritual preceptor or 'Gurudevs'.

    This day is of deep significance to the farmers, for it heralds the setting in of the much-needed rains, as the advent of cool showers usher in fresh life in the fields. It is a good time to begin your spiritual lessons. Traditionally, spiritual seekers commence to intensify their spiritual 'sadhana' from this day.

  • A Tragedy in Ganges...!( Ballia Boat Tragedy)

    Few minutes back when i saw that around 40 people drown in river Ganges in the Easten Uttar Pradesh ...due to overload.I found a lump in my throat. ..completely shocked..! Hundred times i have crossed the same river by boats and ship...! Conducted several research relating to rituals..I use to participate for observation...discuss with the participants the significance of the rituals....!

    I have sweet memories of several soothing lyrics of women folk... and their praise for Ganges...

  • Lullaby of my Dearest Granny!!!!

    I a have been prvileged to be born as a first child in my family among all my siblings and cousins.... :) Soothing words with mraculous rythm was like a true jadoo ki jhappi...i miss even today...all those fairy tales...were like supplementary diet of a healthy childhood... Some time i feel pitty when i see my own niece and nephews stuck to idiot boxes...where these new babes heading...

  • Why violence!!!

    Some time our heart cry out when we see the blood and gore of the innocent people around us...! A question haunts us repeatedly does violence is the only and only solution of any problem we face..!Why our highest sense of morality is fading away...is realy a big big question for which answer need to be sought...as early as possible..!
