Just when you think
Just when you think you are going to win, life throws you a curve ball and it's strike three.....back to the dugout again......
Once again I am here,
in this place all too familiar.
A scent....
a breath....
a deep longing unfulfilled.
Darkness drowns this foresaken place....
once mystical, magical, everlasting.
Hauntingly I'm drawn into a scene,
one that has transpired tenfold,
empty.....
uncaring.....
cold.
The dampness fills my soul,
and each time my sweet imagination,
flees in vile desperation....
Leaving me exposed.
Am I to be in torment???
Tortured endlessly throughout the days?
I'm taken in by promises.
An illusion,
an invention of my own design,
This quiet forest....
this calm green mantle,
holds for me a key.
Where shimmering light shines and pixies dance....
and there is goodness far and near.
You feel my dreams,
my inner fantasies....
My path is replete with want.
So, my deluding angel.....
you lead me here,
to a place of mysticism and awe.
I am enthralled, entranced, beguiled....
And at the moment when I ,
drowning in bliss am....
your betrayal is revealed to me.
Flooding my heart and soul with despondency,
Childish thoughts,
Hopes, dreams....
Fantasy.
Dishearteningly my muse is gone.
With not a single word,
and I am left in a world far too real for me.

I Imagine
What if, instead of demanding that life were different, I simply set out to make it better by virtue of my own attitude and actions? What if, instead of placing limitations on my happiness, and holding it hostage until certain conditions are met, I simply let that happiness happen?
I imagine how life would be if I didn't have to worry about getting things or losing them. I imagine what I could accomplish if I could spend my time free of anger, frustration, and regret.
I think of all the places I could go if I didn't have to first ask permission from my own ego. I consider how much energy I would have if I were free from every anxiety.
Such a life is possible, and it is closer than I may think. In fact, the very act of visualizing it begins to make it happen.
Because my ego, my attitude, my anxieties, my frustrations, angers and regrets are all creatures of my own making...and I can choose just exactly how they will be.
I visualize a life of freedom, fulfillment, meaning and richness. I hold on to that vision so that I will begin to make it be.

Waves Of Now
My problems may be great, yet my ability to successfully deal with them is greater. Each disappointment can be painful, and yet through that pain I am compelled to grow stronger and more capable.
Life goes on, and each moment brings new positive possibilities. I live, I learn, I experience, and through it all, I become more fully alive than ever.
I have carried with me, to this moment, all the joy and beauty I've ever known. Now I am in a position to discover and to fulfill even more.
Seek not to fight against what is. For within what is, the very real opportunity exists for precisely what I wish to be.
In whatever may come my way, I can find the energy and substance to bring my own dreams to life. Run eagerly to greet each moment, for in each moment is the opportunity to fully live.
Life's sparkling treasure rolls in on endless waves of now. I appreciate the depth and the vastness of that treasure, and it is mine. -
Be Careful Of The Stones That You Throw
A tongue can accuse and carry bad news,
The seeds of distrust It will sew.....
But unless you've made no mistakes in your life
Be careful of stones that you throw.
My neighbor was passing my garden one time,
She stopped and I knew right away,
That It was gossip not flowers she had on her mind.
And this is what I heard my neighbor say.
That girl down the street should be run from our midst,
She drinks and she talks kind a lot,
And she knows not to speak to my child or to me,
My neighbor then smiled and I thought.
A tongue can accuse and carry bad news,
The seeds of distrust It will sew.....
But unless you've made no mistakes in your life,
Be careful of the stones that you throw.
A car speeded by and the screaming of brakes,
A sound that made my blood chill.
My neighbors one child had been pulled from the path,
And saved by a girl laying still.
The child was unhurt and my neighbor cried out,
Aww who was that brave girl so sweet?
I covered the crushed broken body and said,
The bad girl who lived down the street.
A tongue can accuse and carry bad news,
The seeds of distrust It will sew.....
But unless you've made no mistakes in your life,
Be careful of the stones that you throw. -
Time...........
No matter what you do, you cannot change the number of hours in the day. Yet you have an enormous impact over what goes into those hours, and what comes from them.
Fill the hours with purpose, and the passing of time works in your favor. Fill your days with meaning, with creativity, with goodness, joy and love, and each day leaves behind lasting value for your world.
Does it seem that there's never enough time to get it all done? Align your efforts more closely with your true purpose, and you'll find that those efforts quickly become much more effective.
Or does it feel like time is passing too slowly? Choose to put more meaning in each moment, and those moments will move quickly along.
Let go of your concerns about the speed at which time is passing, for time is nothing more than an arbitrary measure. What matters is what you do with each moment now as you live it.
Take your eyes off the clock and look instead toward your highest vision of what life can be. Fill the world with your own unique beauty, and go beyond the limits of time. -

Today.......
I will go ahead and ask the questions that must be asked. Say the things that need to be said.
Perform the tasks that are to be done. Follow the dreams that flow from who I most sincerely am.
I will put thought into what I say and do, yet refrain from being paralyzed by an excess of imagined scenarios. I will use reasonable judgment with my own actions, while being careful not to harshly judge those people I do not fully understand.
I will find wisdom and beauty in the smallest of things. Accept and embrace what comes my way, and through my love direct it all toward positive purpose.
I will go ahead and live this day that is now, with no regret for the past and no anxiety about the future. Give my best to each moment while letting the meaningless distractions fall away.
I will be a living expression of the abundance that is. The richness of this moment is ready to be brought to life by me.

Dare To Wonder
Creativity begins with wondering, with a question. Why is this so, or why can't that work, or what if it were done a little differently?
Real, original value is created by those who dare to wonder. Progress is made by those who dare to ask the obvious, and by those who think to ask the questions that are not so obvious.
When you come across something that can't be done, make the effort to understand why not. For in that understanding you're likely to find a way to make it work.
When you come across something that works very well, seek to understand why. In that understanding you'll find strategies for improving many other things.
As a child, you were endlessly curious. And somewhere within you, every bit of that curiosity is still there.
Combine that curiosity and wonder of a child with the discipline and focus of an adult. You'll find the result to be pure genius. -
Where You Need To Be
You are, this moment, where you need to be. Take the opportunity to live it with passion and purpose.
There is no reason to keep pushing the best of life out of your reach, saving it for another time, another place, or another set of circumstances. Now is the time, this is the place to fill with goodness and richness, with beauty and love.
There is no need to wait or to hope for things to get better. For you can be your very best no matter what else may be happening around you.
There is nothing to be gained by wishing that the past had been different. Instead, put your energy into living and fulfilling the best of the countless possibilities that are now in front of you.
The value, the goodness, the love and effort you give to this moment will come back to you many times over. Now is the time to invest yourself in positive, productive thoughts and actions.
Stop making excuses and start being the best you can imagine. Stop waiting and start to truly and fully live. -
The Reason Why......
When the reason why is powerful enough, I can find the strength necessary to get the job done. When the reason why is clear enough, I can develop the discipline required to reach the goal.
When the reason why is meaningful enough, I will gain access to the resources that I need to make it happen. When the reason why is compelling enough, I will have the persistence needed to see it through.
Whatever I undertake, it is essential to understand and connect to the reason why I'm doing it. With a strong enough and meaningful enough reason why, I will find a way there.
Though the obstacles may seem overwhelming, a compelling reason why .....will motivate me to get past them. Though the challenges may be enormous, a clear reason why will bring me the encouragement necessary to work through them.
Before I begin, I will ask myself why. When the going gets rough, I will remind myself why.
I will know, understand, and connect to a meaningful reason why things are the way they are....and always,I will find a way to get it done.
