Greetings from Salem Social Service Society (SSSS)!
It is my great pleasure to introduce myself that I am Rev. Fr. Selvam Francis Xavier, director of SSSS. I am a post graduate in Psychology and Social Work. Salem Social Service Society is an Official developmental Organ of the Catholic Diocese of Salem, Tamilnadu, South India. As a non- profit, non-governmental and service organization, it works towards the empowerment of the poorest of the poor in the districts of Salem and Nammakkal.
From its inception in 1968 the organization has carried out many Health Care, Relief and Rehabilitation, Income Generation, Women and Child empowerment, Environmental and Non-formal Education projects in Salem and Namakkal Districts for the benefit and empowerment of the impoverished and marginalized communities, particularly, children, youth and women.
NOW UNDER THE BANNER OF SSSS WE STARTED SALEM CHILDREN MISSION THROUGH WHICH WE ARE ABLE TO HELP 1500 CHILDREN IRRESPECTIVE OF CASTE ,RELIGION AND RACE. Salem children mission is committed to safeguarding the rights of children, especially, their right to food and shelter, healthcare and education. Every year Salem children mission reaches out to hundreds of socio economically deprived children through its various charitable and developmental activities.
Every child has a right to their childhood – a hopeful existence free of exploitation, violence, neglect, and extreme poverty. Children need education, health services, consistent support systems as well as love, hope and encouragement in order to experience childhood to the fullest, and to eventually develop into healthy, capable adults.
The campaign ‘Say Hundred Days of YES’ is being launched by Salem children mission to support children who are excluded and marginalized in Salem and Namakkal districts of Tamil Nadu State, south India.
So, join hands in this noble mission to support impoverished children and be a proud participant by making a 100 Days of a determined ‘YES’ by contributing $1 / 1 € a day for 100 days to SALEM CHILDREN MISSION. It is a call for Compassion, Commitment and Contribution. SALEM SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY has cared for such children from its inception in 1968.
