    NLP is a set of tools and techniques that allow you to find something that is working for another person and learn how to make it work for yourself or others.This is really the entire basis of NLP. While they were observing these great minds at work they were careful to notice what was working and what wasn’t.Then they dug a little bit deeper into the processes at work to find out why it worked.What they learned here gave birth to NLP.

    During this time the Army had a 4 day course with a 70% pass rate.The trainers started talking to the best shooters to find out how they did what they did.Some of the best shooters all told them that they visualize the bullet piercing the target right before they pulled the trigger.The trainers took examples like these and included them as steps in the new training.As a result this new training now graduates 100% of the recruits in just 1 and half days. That is a 30% improvement in less than half the time.

    OK, So Neurolinguistic Programming if NLP is just knowing what works and learning how to replicate it then why do so many people think it about seduction, manipulation, mind control, and hypnosis. Well that's a good question but the answer is easy. All the techniques of persuasion and hypnosis you hear about were all modeled from Dr. Erickson.

    The founders modeled Erickson to find out how he was able to cause change in the lives of his clients.They learned what he was thinking, what he was doing, what he was feeling, and what he was saying to himself or seeing inside his mind. Then they recorded what worked and taught others to do the same. As a result a large part of NLP is made up of the tools and techniques of Dr. Erickson.
