Moments

We all have our moments.
We have moments for smiles and for sorrow.

We have moments to be alone, and moments to be surrounded by love.
We have moments in the sunshine and in darkness.

We have moments of courage and of fear.
We have moments of laugh and of crying.
We have moments of peace and of chaos.

Moments make up our lives.
Moments make us into who we are to be in the end.

Regret no moments, for they shall never come again.
Good times, bad times, happy times, and sad times, embrace them all.
Each moment fled in an instance, therefore take hold while it is there.

“You have a lifetime”, not so, you only have the moment at hand.

A moment to be born, a moment to die;
Here this moment and gone the next.

I waited to long to say, “hello. How are you doing?”
Now it’s time to say “good bye, see you on the other side.

I let the moments fade away.

Dedicated to my granddaddy and cousin.

Nell 11/04/09

Never

You never saw my smile.
You never heard my laughter.
You never heard my cry.

My life was over before it began.
A dream never dreamed.
A touch never felt.
A tear never cried.
An undeveloped loved.
I once was, but now I am not.

Aches are where joy should be.
I leave a hole, where love should be.
My life was taken before it began.

Never a chance to run and play.
Never a chance to walk and fall.
Never a chance to rise and reach for that far away star.

Never a first steps.
Never a first word.
Never a first day of school.
Never a first date.
Never to fall in love or have a broken heart.
My end came before the beginning.

Never to breath or live.

Daily Rules from God for 2009

Daily Rules from God for 2009

1. Wake Up!! Decide to have a good day. 'Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.'Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up!!The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. 'The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart.' I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. 'He who guards his lips guards his soul.' Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. 'Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good...'Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up!!... To the Lord.
'I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.'Phillippians 4:13

6. Reach Up!!... For something higher. 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path.'
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up!!... Your Prayers.
'Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.'
Phillippians 4:6

Just being me

Just being me

To each there own, is what I always say. I don't always have good days, but I never take my bad days out on others. If this mean going to my room and staying there until my mood change, then thats what I will do. I try not to judge others, but sometimes I still do. For instance, if you have 1000 friends and none of them are of the same sex as you, it appears to me that you are not making friends, but collecting females. Its a waste of your time to send me a friend request, because I will deny it. I have no desire to be apart of your Harem. If this offends you, oh well. It is what it is.

Don't ask me for my messenger, I uninstalled them a while back. They sap too much of my time. You can chat with me here if you like.

Don't ask me to cam, I threw it in the trash a while back, so many people just want to show there goodies. I am not turn on by nudity.

Don't ask me for phone sex or nude picture because you won't get either from me.

If you delete your friendship before I can't get back with you, oh well, you wasn't my friend after all.

It is what it is. Life is not always a bowl of cherries and it is never ever only about one person.

Peace and Love

Marti

The Absent Father

Now that the years has passed,
The dreams has died,
I have no tears to shed for you.

Days, weeks, and years,
I waited on a father that never came.

I had nightmares,
Yelled out in fear,
Rushing to my bed my mother came,
But it was your face that I never seen.

He loves me, he loves me not.
How can a man leave behind his own begotten child?

Years keep rolling on.
Two, Twelve, Twenty-two,
Now you wan to be called dad.

Strange word to these lips of mine
Only da escapes my throat,
A void heart for this unknown man,
He is a stranger to the woman I am.

Respect you yell for, I try.
It’s hard to respect a deadbeat dad.
You had your chance, but only one.

Your little girl is all grown up.
Mom did good all by herself,
But it could have been better if I had a dad.

Now you give me a crumb,
Then shout for glory as if you given the entire loaf.

All my years my mother planted and grew,
Now the harvest is full.

Look at me. See me for the first time.
Your own begotten child,
That you left behind.

I am not bitter, but the void will always be,
Only one chance to raise a child,
You made your choice,
It was not to be a dad.

All is well with this soul of mine; nourished and loved,
Mom made sure of it all.

Today I sang because I am happy.
I sang because I am loved and free.

In spite of it all,
I made it through,
Without you dad I still grew strong.
Now I soar in the open sky.

You seek your glory,
And praise these days.

All my glory I give to God.
Mom taught me well.

Nell 10/29/08

Jury Duty Scam DO READING !

This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone
in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this
information and bingo; your identity was just stolen. The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma , Illinois , and Colorado .This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they
are with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued
nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

<a href="http://en.netlog.com/go/out/url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fbi.gov%2Fpage2%2Fjune06%2Fjury_scams060206.htm"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.fbi.gov/page2/june06/jury_scams060206.htm

<a href="http://en.netlog.com/go/out/url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fbi.gov%2Fpage2%2Fjune06%2Fjury_scams060206.htm"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.fbi.gov/page2/june06/jury_scams060206.htm

<a href="http://en.netlog.com/go/out/url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.snopes.com%2Fcrime%2Ffraud%2Fjuryduty.asp"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/juryduty.asp

All my contact info is on my home page, if you would like to add me to your IM go ahead and do so. I will not add you as a friend until i know who you are, but i will allow you to see when i log in. I rarely logs into either one of the program, so you would have a better chance getting to know me on the site that you found me.
These instant messengers saps away far too much of your time, and i don't have time like that to just chat. Besides, its a nightmare when i do log in because there are always at least 4 people trying to chat with you at the same time. Then i can't remember who anyone is....LOL, not good. They IM drives me nutts.........

peroxide

This is what Oxi clean is...
did you know that????

3% peroxide

This was written by Becky Ransey of Indiana

"I would like to tell you of the benefits of that plain little old
bottle of 3% peroxide you can get for under $1.00 at any drug store.
My husband has been in the medical field for over 36 years, and
most doctors don't tell you about peroxide, or they would lose
thousands of dollars."

1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle)
and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do
it when I bathe)

No more canker sores and your teeth will be whiter without expensive
pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash. (Small print says mouth wash and
gargle right on the bottle)

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of "Peroxide" to keep them
free of germs.

3. Clean your counters, table tops with peroxide to kill germs and
leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you
wipe, o r spray it on the count ers.

4 After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to
kill salmonella and other bacteria.

5. I had fungus on my feet for years - until I sprayed a 50/50
mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every
night and let dry.

6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes
several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal
with any medicine, but was healed by soaking in peroxide.

7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and
keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic
system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.

8. Tilt your head back and spray into nos trils with your 50/50
mixture whenever you have a cold, or plugged sinuses. It will bubble
and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes then blow your
nose into a tissue.

9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right
away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten
minutes several times a day.. The pain will lessen greatly.

10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the
50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through.
You will not have the peroxide burnt blonde hair like the hair dye
packages, but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown,
reddish, or dirty blonde. It also lightens gradually so it's not a
drastic change.

11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils,
fungus, or other skin infectio n s.

12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of
whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing,
pour directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minut e, then rub
it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors with, and there is no smearing
which is why I love it so much for this.

I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be
without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a
way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner.

BEE STINGS !

It might be wise to carry a penny in your pocket while working
in the yard......... BEE STINGS !

A couple of weeks ago, I was stung by both a bee and hornet while working in the garden.

My arm swelled up, so I went to the doctor. The clinic gave me cream and an antihistamine. The next day the swelling was getting progressively worse, so I went to my regular doctor. The arm was Infected and needed an antibiotic. The doctor told me - ' The next time you get stung, put a penny on the bite for 15 minutes'.

That night, my niece was stung by two bees. I looked at the bite and it had already started to swell. So, I taped a penny to her arm for 15 minutes. The next morning, there was no sign of a bite. We decided that she just wasn't allergic to the sting.

Soon, I was gardening outside. I got stung again,
twice by a hornet on my left hand. I thought, here I go again to the
doctor for another antibiotic.

I promptly got my money out and taped two pennies to my bites, then sat
and sulked for 15 minutes. The penny took the string out of the bite immediately.

In the meantime the hornets were attacking, and my friend was stung on the thumb.
Again the penny. The next morning I could only see the spot where the hornet had
stung me. No redness, no swelling. My friend's sting was the same; couldn't even tell
where she had been stung.

She got stung again a few days later upon her back---cutting the grass!
And the penny worked once again.

Wanted to share this marvelous information in case you experience the
same problem. We need to keep a stock of pennies on hand .

The doctor said that the copper in the penny counteracts the bite. It definitely works!

Please remember and pass this information on to your friends, children,
grandchildren, etc.

1. Wake Up !!

Decide to have a good day.
"This is the day the Lord hath made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!

The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance,
But the Lord looks at the heart."

I Samuel 16:

3. Shut Up!!

Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth,
So He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."

Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!

. . For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything.
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
We will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."

Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!

. . To the Lord.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!

. . For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."

Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!

. . Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything; instead
PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."

Philippians 4:6

clay balls

A man was exploring caves by the Seashore. In one of the
caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was
like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake
They didn'tlook like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag
out ofthe cave with him.

As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls
one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He thought little
about it,until he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a
rock.. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone!

Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay
balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars
worth of jewels inthe 20 or so clay balls he had left.

Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He
had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into
the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could
have taken home tens of thousands, but he had just thrown it away!

It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even
ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much
from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount
it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or
stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find
the treasure hidden inside that person.

There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take
the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that
person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the
brilliant gem begins to shine forth.

May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we
have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in
bits of clay. May we see the people in our world as God sees them...

I am so blessed by the gems of friendship I have with you.
Thank you for looking beyond my clay vessel.

A store that sells Men

A store that sells Men has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband.

Among the instructions at the entrance is a
description of how the store operates.

You may visit the store ONLY ONCE! There are six
floors and the attributes of the men increase as the
shopper ascends the flights.

There is, however, a catch: you may choose any man
from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a
floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a
husband.

On the first floor the sign on the door reads: Floor 1
- These men have jobs.

The second floor sign reads: Floor 2 - These men have jobs and love kids.

The third floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men have
jobs, love kids, and are extremely good looking.

"Wow,"she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads: Floor 4 -
These men have jobs, love kids, are drop-dead good
looking and help with the housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love kids, are
drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth
floor and the sign reads: Floor 6 - You are visitor
31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this
floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women
are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at
the Husband Store.

a penny

You always hear the usual stories of pennies on the sidewalk being good luck, gifts from angels, etc. This is the first time I've ever heard this twist on the story. Gives you something to think about.

Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than their house.

The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely.

As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband.
He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment.

Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny.

He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?

Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer. She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.

A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?

'Look at it.' He said. 'Read what it says.' She read the words ' United States of America '
'No, not that; read further.'
'One cent?' 'No, keep reading.'
'In God we Trust?' 'Yes!' 'And?'

'And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it!
God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him?
Who am I to pass it by?
When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful!

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I read the words, 'In God We Trust,' and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message.

It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful! And, God is patient..

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near.

'We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.'
-Tim McGraw
