      Blue Saph:

      It was a bit of a revelation for me - I thought all southern Cal beaches were sand, sand, and more sand. While that's true for those in south LA, i.e. Newport Beach etc., the ones to the north are much more like those here in Nova Scotia. Accordingly, I felt right at home!
