Truth and Reactions
There are various ways we react to statements that contain deep truth. I have found out in life that truth is bitter and it hits a man's conscience harder than the way a hammer hits on a nail. When you speak the truth, most people don't like to take it –
This is the way people react to truth:
1. Some critically analyze it and conclude that your presentation was wrong.
2. Some will say it was okay but it lack wisdom in presentation.
3. Some will try to point out what your fault was instead of accepting the truth.
4. Some will lose their sleep; will be down casted and withdrawn.
5. Some will feel insulted by the truth and look for a way to victimize you.
6. Some will call other people’s attention to the truth/fact but in trying to cover up their short coming
and the aspect where the truth hits hard on them – they call people’s attention to what they think is
wrong in the presentation of the truth.
7. Some will generate controversies out the presented truth and instigate others to work against the
Truth.
8. Some decide to ex-communicate the presenter of truth just because what was said hurts.
9. Some accept the truth but ignore the fact and trivialize it.
10. Some feel you are too lousy and proud. They feel you are proud.
11. Some conclude that you are judgmental in your approach to situations.
12. Some close their account with you, wish and watch you liquidate.
13. Some withdraw their assistance; decides to withdraw or revoke their promises or contributions and call you all manner of names.
14. Some accept the truth and make adjustments.
What happens to you when you speak the truth?
1. You will lose friends.
2. Some will withdraw their assistance. If they promise to favour you they will withdraw it because what you said is not favourable to them as far as they are concerned.
3. Some will work towards victimizing you.
4. You will be persecuted.
5. You will on OYO (On Your Own).
What is your stand?
You should never fear any human being in speaking the truth – Truth is constant and last longer. If falsehood last for 20years Truth will surely over take it and overcome it. Even if people try to cover the truth, persecute you and frustrate you out of the system because you said the truth don’t worry at all – Something is certain; the Truth will speak with vengeance and visit all worker of evil with their evil deeds and disgrace them. The shame they will face will go farther and harder than what they did to you. The Bible says in Gal 6:7-9 – “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart (NKJV)”
There are people are very insensitive to the Truth- The Bible describe them in 2 Tim 3:7 as “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (KJV)”. If their Pastor preaches truth and it hits them instead of accepting it they will rise up and mobilize people to frustrate the man of God. Some even confronts the minister of God head-on. And utter such statement as this - “Pls Mr. Pastor- what you have just is too much of you, I think you are too hard sir. I think it is not as worse as you have presented it. Pls Pastor I think you owe us an Apology for that kind of statement. Pls. reverse I now or we show you hell. And they will vow to frustrate his ministry until he summit to them – bend the rules and speak words that would suit them and make them feel good.” I strongly warn; wherever people gang up to victimize or frustrate their pastor or leader the judgment of God must surely visit that gathering. It is not a curse but statement of fact. A truth is too hard or strong for many to accept.
Good Response
When the truth is spoken, please accept it and make corrections. The WORD of Truth is a dirty Mood- whoever it flushes on should not be angry but accept it in Love and make correction or adjustment. There is great reward in adhering to the truth. It makes your life better and last longer.
