I sincerely expect my blog friends to browse these two blogs if available. Most importantly, I hope that you will join my newly-opened two blogs. I urgently need your mighty assistance and support. Your contribution is badly needed in either Chinese or English.

I will try to be a qualified owner of johzhunbgooglegroup
By johnzhunb
As the owner of johnzhunbgooglegroup, I will try my utmost to be a qualified owner. Though I am a university graduate, majoring in English, I find it very hard to express myself in English in any field. For example, I worked in high school for about 40 years and I have been quite familiar with campus life in high school and university. However, I am unfamiliar with some other aspects such as military affairs, economics, medicine, science and technology, industry, agriculture, etc. Therefore, I said in my motto “Learning English and something new is my lifelong process. As long as I am in the world, it would be good and beneficial for me to study on and on”.
In order to well open my new blog, I must be good at English and computer skills, which may be at least two pre-conditions. What makes me more confident is that English was my major in university and computer science is my hobby. I taught English conscientiously to senior students in high school for about 35 years.
What’s more, upon my retirement in 2000, I was lucky to be engaged at the International Department of Ningbo Huamao Foreign Languages School under Huamao Group. During the whole 7 years at school, my work contained three parts. First, I was in charge of foreign teachers’ affairs, including employing foreign teachers of English on line, signing contracts with them, dealing with their salaries and benefits, coping with their daily living problems, drafting memos, etc. which made me enhance my competence in both oral and written English. The second part is for me to be an English-Chinese bilingual translator and interpreter. I did over 100000-word translation of important documents from Huamao Group and Huamao School, which mostly went abroad. The third is that I was English editor of Huamao School Paper (monthly). I had to edit 2 pages of articles mainly from senior students and some foreign teachers. I devoted my plenty of time and earnest endeavors to the correction and revision of articles with a few good dictionaries at hand. All my time and efforts yielded fruitful outcomes, which made me have considerable progress in English. The seven years of English learning was just like going abroad for my further education in English.
As for my computer skills, it should date back to 1998. Between 1997 and 1998, I was engaged in my postgraduate courses in English. It would be a must for me to write English course theses. At that time, my wife said to me that I was nearly retired from high school and it was unnecessary to have a computer, which would cost us about 10000 RMB. I insisted that our family would rather purchase a computer than an air-conditioner. That was my first desktop. After 2000, to meet the needs of relatively heavy written work at home, I decided to install a new desktop with a larger hard disk and a bigger memory, which was my second one. When I was working at Huamao School, many of my colleagues had a laptop. I admired them very much for that. So I was eager to have one. Maybe in 2003, I purchased a laptop produced by Beijing University High Technology Co. I used it for about 4 years, which was my first laptop. However, through 4 years of my utilization, it needed upgrading. According to my son’s suggestion, there was no need for me to do so, as it was already out of date. About a month ago, supported financially by our company, I bought another brand-new laptop, IBM-Lenovo, the best kind of all. I now treasure it very much. I use it in the office in office hours and utilize it at home at night, chatting with many friends, Chinese or foreign.
To be honest, I have not attended a training class for a single day. I have learned computer science and skills from my friends and colleagues. More importantly, I always practice it daily without letting my computer idle.
Nevertheless, I have achieved somewhat results in my English and computer skills. However, there will be a long, long way for me to go. The world can be cognized, but the process of cognition will be endless and boundless. I said before, so long as I exist in the world, I shall study on and on till my real end.
What I said above may give you some impression. I am wondering if my idea and concept can be accepted by you, my dear readers. I would like you to air your views. Any comments and suggestions will be welcomed. Thank you very much.
