We often convince ourselves that the life will be better after getting married, after having had a child and, then, after having had another.
Later, we feel frustrated, because our children are not yet rather big and we think that we will be better when they are.
We are then convinced that we will be happier when they pass this stage. We think that our life will be complete when the things go better for our spouse, when we have a more beautiful car or a larger house, when we can go on holiday, when we are with the retirement...
The truth is that the better moment to be happy is the moment present... If it is not now, when would this be? The life will be always full with challenges to reach and projects to be finished. It is preferable to admit it and decide to be happy now that it is still time.
For a long time, I thought that my life was going finally to start. True life. But there was always an obstacle on the way, a problem which it was necessary to solve in first, a topic not finished, a time to pass, a debt to be paid.
And then, there, the life was going to start!... Until I realise which these obstacles were precisely my life. This prospect helped me to understand that there is not a way which leads to happiness. Happiness is the way... Thus each moment passes that we have and, more still, when we share this moment with somebody of special, sufficiently special to share our time, and that we remember that time does not wait. Then, it is necessary to stop waiting to finish our studies, to increase our salaries, to marry, to have children, that our children leave the house or, simply, Friday evening, Sunday morning, spring, the summer, the autumn or the winter, to decide that it has not been better moment that maintaining to be happy.
We should not any much to be happy.
It is enough just to appreciate each small moment and to crown it like one of the best moments of its life.
