The mirror cannot tell a lie.
Some sad truths can make you cry,
and when your adequately crushed,
your voice of reason,sadly hushed,
And tears of age run down your face,
It shows your some redeeming grace.

Years have parched your supple skin.
Your hair has faded and grown thin.
and every bulge you try to hide..
the mirror screams ,you lied, you lied.
and though you face your own decline,
it gives you back an ounce of time.

For time and age ,our unwelcome foe,
cannot disguise the way you glow,
nor steal the sparkle from your eyes,
nor change the patient ,or the wise.
It cannot wither your mother's smiles,
or your humoristic father's wiles.

So do not fear your mirror, dear,
and do not just wish to disappear,
But grasp the radiance and the charm,
for there's no time left ,to feel alarm.
and love that you, that's in the glass.
for even this you, soon will pass.
