Since there is always room for improvement we thought we could make our chat just a bit more flashy. We are proud to announce that our new chat is now available! The chat is still to be found at the bottom of every Netlog page.

What has changed?
- not only can you easily chat with your friends, you can also easily find people from your region who want to chat
- still couldn’t find interesting people to chat with? Try the advanced search option (in the tab Everyone)
- shout straight from there!
- extra statuses
- cool sounds that will alert you if someone is trying to chat with you
- an option to minimise the chat bar by clicking the arrow on the left
- an option not to chat at all. Not that you’ll want to use this, of course

    Here I have to agree. I think that the usability and viability of new options should always remain the primary focus.

    Which options should be improved in your opinion? :)

    When you are chatting with someone, it should show their profile picture as sometimes it doesnt yet when ive gone to their profile page, they have a picture, its just nice to see the face of the person one is chatting to. Also i lose the chat when i go from messages to logs and have to start again or not as the case may be :)

    It rarely happends to me not to see the other person's photo. But it does happen. So you are sure you are not closing your chat when you go from messages to logs? I am asking this - silly, perhaps - question as I have never experinced that problem. If you are, is it that you cannote see the whole conversation or you totally loose it as if you closed the chat box on purpose?

    No i dont close it, i answer someones chat, click to the logs and the chat disappears completely so all that is left is the main chat icon :)
    Yep Im hearing ya Lisa... same thing happens to me... just vanishes .... then its sit and wait till it comes back eventually :)

    hi net log i was wondering why the avatars are so boring it would be nice if they where animated i would like to have one. you know i can do it if you allow me. well ....oh there also i was wondering is it possible to make playing my favorite song while someone is visiting?

    As mentioned before, there's always place for improvement. :) So no sad faces!
    Unfortunately, you cannot play your favourite song on your profile...

    Ah but is there the option for the music on the new netlog :) That would be brilliant!!!! :)

    Unfortunately, you cannot play your favourite song on your profile...

    Yes i have managed my alerts in settings/alerts... i also have unticked, then re ticked the relevant box to allow alerts for when receiving a chat alert.

    Please send a ticket to Helpdesk and I'm sure we'll figure this out. :)

    Perhaps you have done it but still I think it is better if I ask you this question. Have you manage your alerts in Settings/Alerts?
