Bono,
the lead singer of the band U2 is famous throughout the entertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous.

He is playing a U2 concert in Glasgow , Scotland when he asks the audience for total quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds.
Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone,

"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

A voice with a broad Scottish accent, from near the front of the crowd, pierces the silence...
"Well, fookin' stop doin' it then!"

While that sounds a little funny and I giggled at first I was reminded of the Dar Fur area... have you heard about it?

I've only begun to read on it myself and just as people in America need our help so do people all over the world.

What can I do?

First let others know there is a need... Second in any way you can think of do something to make the situation more positive.... talk to God/Goddess is a great start. Sure they already know but now they know you know and will be counting on you for some action.

Stay aware and be ready when a door of opportunity opens, slowly we can make a difference in someones life.

I guess the old saying "People helping people" still rings true.
I would look for faster and better help from my neighbor than my government cause let's face it, they're only in it for the money.
Your neighbor should genuinely care.

What can you do for your neighbor?

What can you do for Dar Fur?

Something to think about...humbly!

In deep gratitude for all that is

many of them care....at least the educated ones.
I most absolutly do. I meet a "lost boy of Sudan"
this week we spoke about it for a long time. He came to the US
via the IRS, International Resque Service founded by Albert Einstein.
He now lives in Wisconson and has a BA in Sociology. He is going
for a masters degree. He speaks at many universities and is very
    greatful to the US.
