My parents are really strict too. Especially my mother. Most of the fight we have are because she tries to control me and treats me like a 10 years old. We shouldn't have arguments like that because we have a very strong, pure and honest relationship. But it's stronger than her, she has to watch the time I go to bed, if I did my HW or if I cleaned my bedroom.. I hate that and she knows it. She wouldn't let go. I know it's because she loves me Big time but it's getting me so mad. I try to control my temper because she is in the middle of a divorce and she's 2 months pregnant, so I try to avoid arguments with her the more I can :/ I really hope someday she will realize that I'm a grown up now and respect me the same way I respect her. My mother is my hero. She got hurt big time with that divorce, she had to fight in court to get child support because my father didn't want to pay for me, my little bro and my 2 sisters. She felt rejected, used and disposed of. Her life was turned upside down. We supported her as much as we could, but the biggest part of the job.. she did it herself. She got over it and got back on her feet. She took her responsibilities and made sure we had everything we needed. Wow!! that woman is my hero. She's strong and amazingly beautiful. I just hope someday, she will trust me and see me as an accomplice in her life, instead of a good little girl that will clean her room and go to sleep when she's told to.
