I want to start a chat session

To start a chat session, follow these easy steps:
- Log into your Netlog account (enter your nickname and password)
- Click the icon 'View your online friends' next to the search field (in the upper right corner of any Netlog page)
- Choose a friend you want to chat with (you will be redirected to his/her profile page)
- Choose 'Send message' from the menu on the right
- Start chatting!
- As soon as you start to chat, you can open the screen in a new window, which makes it all more convenient
If your chat partner is not online, your message will wait in his or her inbox. You can also start chatting when someone sends you a message. To do that, just click 'Open conversation in a new window'!


For chatting, your browser needs to support JavaScript. We recommend using Mozilla Firefox, which is a piece of software you can download for free.
