"Every Second, Every Minute, Every Hour"

Could you recall each second, each mintue,
each hour that I grew in your womb. On the
days & nights when I tossed & turned I wasn't
trying to hurt you. I was only trying to get
closer, right under your heart. I had a
beacon that sounded rhythmically. Bump-Bump-
Bump-Bump to calm my crying.

While I was getting to know your soul, the
ways you laughed as you rubbed your belly
every month. I nudged you as to say
don't cry I have your heartbeat to pass the
time by.

You never gave reason, so.....I was not
willing to just come out without a fight.
After the spinning took place not by me of-
course. Your heartbeat changed to a fading
thump then with a finale push, I had a
picture of my beacon in the dark.
