The arrival of my son Mone James

Update on my life, March '08
Yo pplz, what's new? Just thought I'd give yas all a lil update on my life, seeing as I'm never here anymore. Well, James & I have our own place now, we moved in last month, & it's just great
We were pretty much just living out of our parent's places before that, & doing a lot of travelling bk n forth, so is a real relief to have a place of our own now. And yeah, my first time livin in the big smoke ay! Bit of a change, but it's all good.
Not doin the band thing anymore, but I've got a job teaching keyboard at a music school, which is going really good so far, & have also got some solo gigs comin up. Was supposed to gig last night, but I came down with a cold monday, so I was pretty cut that I had to cancel last night. However, if anyone out there in Brissie has nothing exciting to do on a Tuesday night, come down to Kaliber! (shameless plug I know). Anywayz, Kaliber is in the Brunswick St Mall, right next door to Ric's, and Jimmy & I shall be there every tues night from about 8-ish........so yah, would love to see some of you netlog peeps there!
Hmm, what else is new? Can't think of anything atm. I'm feeling pretty miserable at from this damn cold, have my lil box of tissues beside me in the library here, so I'm looking fwd to going home to bed. Wow, I can't believe that it has finally happened. Just for the Australian government to acknowledge the wrong that was done to our people is a massive step in my eyes. And I think what's great too though is that it's not going to end just here with words. A huge step forward for Australia I believe.
On a more negative note, what about that stinkin opposition leader. He wasn't friggen sorry for anything, he couldn't give a damn about Aboriginal people or the issues surrounding us. He tiptoed around the cold hard truth, whereas I really admired Kevin Rudd for not dong that at all.....he was straight up with it all, as ugly as it is. And that Brendan Nelson fulla talkin about the children who have been sexually abused like it's all blackfullas doing it. Made me angry ay.
But yeah, gotta finish off positive. Sorry has finally been said after countless years of our people struggling for recognition, & I think it's great day. Let's hope that Kevin lives up to the rest of his promises, but I feel optimistic considering that start that he's made already.

December Update
Hi All, I haven't really been online much these last couple of months, so thought I'd update ya'll on my life
Everything is going wonderfully for me, I'm just so happy. My man is the most beautiful man in the world, he treats me so well, & looks after me, & makes me smile & laugh, & give me more love & affection than I've ever known before.
My family are all going well. My cousin is due to have her first baby any day soon, so that's exciting, another new addition to the Hunt family!
James & I went to see Joss Stone last week, it was mad as. She was awesome, & the band was so tight! And we went to the Carols in the City Saturday night with the fam, I really enjoyed that...Guy Sebastian was there and he was brilliant as always
I'm really looking fwd to Christmas hey, is gonna be a good one. Then right after that I'm off to the Woodford Folk Festival with Jimmy, can't wait for that!

My back is sore. I've been on the end of a stinkin shovel, pick, & rake this morning, digging out dirt so we can cement there.
That doesn't really bother me that much tho, I don't mind a bit of hard work, it's more ppl that are getting to me atm. Supposedly the older you get, the wiser you get, but I can blow that theory out the window.
So yeah, there's my whinge for the day.
On the positive side, I'm off to Stradbroke this weekend for the Island Times Festival, so I'm really looking fwd to that. Specially just to get away from the dramas that I'm mixed up in atm, just to get away from it all & chill out.

So, have ya'll missed me? lol.
I was offline for a few days, dodo internet was messin us around something shocking, but I'm back now & the shakes have gone away hahahahaha.
I had my photo shoot on Friday, it went awesome, it was so much fun! So yeah, I will be uploading some of my faves from that tonight or soonish.
Is my Dad's birthday today, so been cookin up a big feed today.............I love birthdays, get to eat stacks & not feel too guilty, lol.
