The gifts application

We have just released a new and extended version of Gifts application. I think that this is a real milestone for Netlog. This is why, being emotionally involved in the project, I thought it would make sense to write a couple of lines about this release. The Gifts application enables you to send virtual gifts to anyone who has a Netlog account. There is a very wide and ever-increasing range of free gifts that can make your messages more fun.

When you browse the gifts you will spot that some of them are labeled with a little number. It indicates the amount of credits the gift costs. We think that users should be able to buy extra cool gifts with credits. I will get back to that later though.

We will continuously add new gifts and extra functionalities to the Gifts application. We have already integrated Gifts with private messages, profile pages and notifications, but this is just the beginning. When you think about it, the opportunities are endless. Obviously, the way Gifts will develop heavily depends on how the application is utilized by you. This is why it is so important that you try it out!

Credits - the currency of Netlog - are another very exciting thing that will become more integrated into using Netlog. If you have any questions about the credits, please post them here on this blog, or wait a little while and I will write a brand new blog entry on this topic.
