We're all getting tired of the scammers on Netlog and the apparent inability of Netlog to do anything about them. Let's make this a place where we can centrally list and maintain communication about the suspected and known scammers we've encountered. By doing so publicly, anyone can benefit from what we've been so far communicating in private messages, personal blogs and by word of mouth. This clan can cross international borders much more easily than our personal blogs do.

If Netlog can't get rid of the scammers, maybe we can make it too much of a hassle for these idiots to continue on Netlog!!!!

There's strength in numbers. More and more of you are trying to drive these vermin away. What about it? Will you help? Please join!!!

WARNING TO ALL MEMBERS AND VISITORS!!!!

ScammerAlert is an open clan. EVEN the scammers are able to read what we post here. Keep in mind they can also read our personal blogs and the comments we leave as warnings in publicly posted guestbooks and photos. PLEASE do NOT be specific when you are speaking publicly. Be careful not to say in detail what the scammers are doing to tip you off. DON'T POINT OUT THEIR MISTAKES PUBLICLY!!!!! If you do, you teach them how to correct them! We want to stop them from succeeding as much as possible. We don't want to help them!!!!

This clan is open to the public so they can find the names of known scammers here and be warned. Yes, educating is good too and necessary! I do my educating by private message! We are also planning a second clan that will be for members only and only trusted people we KNOW will be able to join. In that clan we can put all the specifics and work on educating each other. Information there can be copied and pasted into private messages to send out to TRUSTED friends. Netlog has made mass messaging possible although limited to only 20 at a time. It's inconvenient but it's the best way we can spread the word without helping the scammers.

I apologize to those people whose blog messages or photos have had to be deleted here. I regret it but it was necessary.

I'll post information about the second clan once it's been created. It was someone else's idea so she's going to be the owner. Once I know it's open, I'll be letting you know!
