Football is an American sport that is watched and played nationwide. Of course there are other sports each of which has their passionate devotees. There is a definite air of excitement when football season is about to begin. The end of August, early September, is when the football season begins for players and those that love to watch it on TV. Football requires a lot of intensive training that demands physical fitness on the part of the players. Local schools and colleges always play their games on Friday nights giving the working population a chance to see them every week.
American football is played on a number of different levels, which is decided by the age of the player and if they're a professional or not. There are three different levels to the game; high school, college and professional. The name of the organization that governs high school play is the National Federation of State High School Associations. The National Collegiate Athletic Association is in charge of college football, and most people have heard of the NCAA. Additionally, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics is another organizational body of college football. And of course, the NFL is the well known organization for professional football. The position of the offensive line may vary, depending on the particular play that's been called. There are various possible roles for the tight end, which is an offensive position. The tight end isn't considered to be a part of the core offensive line, however it is positioned next to the line. With this position, when it's used as a wide receiver you are eligible to catch a pass when it's a pass play. Then they can play as part of the offensive line to give protection to the backfield. The tight end can help the line to create hole for the runner if the play is a running play.
There is something dynamic and aggressive about American football that makes it addicting to watch. Football is not a fixed and predictable sport, especially at the professional level. Sometimes this game is about experience and educated guessing as you try to predict what the other team is going to do. The defensive line will use its largest linebackers to get to the quarterback going through the offense. If the situation is critical, or close, a blitz will be called when there is an anticipation of a pass. The only downfall is that when all of your men have crossed the line of scrimmage, it is easy for the offense to complete a short pass. There are lots of rules that apply to each of the three levels and some may overlap. Therefore, when a player makes the transition from one level to another, the process shouldn't be a problem. Your coach will always be the absolute best source of information when learning to play football.
