broken into pieces and torn all apart.
there is little remains left of my broken heart.
you did this to me.
you're the one who made me cry.
and you made it worse when you chose to lie.
with all the chains and metal hangers between all of your beatings.
you left me with bruises, thinking of excuses of what had happened the night before.
of when you and him would lock me in a closet and call me a little whore.
night, after night, you would keep coming back for more.
and finally, one day, i got the courage to stand up for myself.
i told the school nurse and the principal, and it all became more of hell.
nobody believed me when i tried to tell.
i would come home crying and you kept reminding me of dying, of the promise you made if i told on you.
you said you would kill me if i told anyone.
i stood up no matter what you told me.
i would go to my friends house and her mom would just hold me.
finally, i got you, i got you away from me.
no more bruises, no more thinking of excuses.
and look at the woman i have become.
i dont let you get to me or bring me down.
this is how you changed me, how you turned my life around.
thank you for doing what you have done because i have more respect than ever before and i hope you had your fun.
because this time, I WON!!!!
