London (as if i don't go anywhere else!)

while i've been trying to pack (for yet anothe rmove), my live has been busied up a bit. no time to sit back and relax (or pack), but i've been managing it somehow! two good friends took me out on the town - helen and lisa. helen and i wandered round the tourist spots, lisa took me to Reece Witherspoon's film premier (out on April 3rd).

i saw a picture on wizardparadox's blog.co.uk site, of megan fox (the hot sci-fi babe - of 'transformers' fame) with a library behind her, and thought - "i've got them there books, and that chair ..." - so he dared me to have a go.
may i remind you that she does earn megabucks more than me ... and she was born 8 days (and 23 YEARS) after me - so ... well, you'll see what i mean.
oh, and the gorilla - he's my new toy boy. lurve him to bits.

Requiem for Lost Souls

Our Saturday night out was to listen to the Surrey based "Vivace Chorus" choir singing Verdi's Requiem, at Guildford Cathedral, Surrey.

The performance was dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who died in the wars ... Verdi's Requiem says:
"grant them eternal rest, Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them"
(well, it was sung in operatic in Latin - and I couldn't understand it, so the programme came in mighty handy!)

As you watch, I ask two things of you:
Please spare a thought for those who gave up their lives for the blessings you now enjoy.
And, on 11th November at 11am, whatever you happen to be doing at the time, please pause for 2 minutes silence in remembrance of those brave men who suffered (and continue to do so even to this day) on your behalf.

Mozart by Candlelight

i was in a lot of pain on this evening out, but struggled through for this bit of culture.

take a walk with us through the west end of london and listen to mozart's "concerto no 21 in c for piano k467" as you take a walk with us. have a giggle with us if you want.

by the way, st martin in the fields does a lot of work for the homeless through "The Connection" if you wanna help or make a donation for their work (run by a team of volunteers), then

A Day Trip to London

we went (primarily) to see elizabeth 1st tomb. but you'll see what happened when we got there.

anyhow, take a walk with us - have a gigaround to britney and madonna - oh and mozart too ...

by the way - if you know the answer to the question that anitagx posed near westminster abbey, then let us know ... we were flumoxed!

oh err - if you'd like to see any more bits of london, just ask which bits you want to see, and we'll go there at your request! but it has to cost under £20 each - as this one was that cheap (£4 parking near heathrow, £6 tube all zones, £2.50 pub snack = £12.50 - we took our own sandwiches).

we enjoyed it, hope you do too - i must say, for some strange reason, it was a bit 'empty' of people though!

Traffic Jams

on the way home from work ... didn't have much to do sat in one seat for two and a half hours on the ten mile stretch on the m3 between junction 2 and 1, so started taking pics of people passing by. some waved and smiled, others hurled abuse and scowled. c'est la vie.

Hmm. Well, after the fun and laughter derived from the previous video, I was prompted to encourage a little 'seriousness' into the equation. Yeap, this is me folks - I can be serious fun one minute and funnily serious the next. No apologies if I've given anyone the wrong idea - which I did to one guy!

I lost a 'friend' because he said he didn't believe me ... he had seen the previous vid where i was prancing around in next to nothing - what's the matter hun, don't pole dancers have brains where you come from? I could take offence, but I'm choosing not to - we're all entitled to our views and that was his reality. Fair enough.

That aside, he did me a favour as it was quite an apt scenario. I was trying to memorise this, but he saved me the job - so i sat and read it instead.

If you get bored, i'll understand, but try to listen to the words rather than look at me - as therein lies the answer to life and all the worries we face today.

Dancercise with Britney

This is an order - "have a larf!!!"

A couple of months ago, I suggested to LonelyGirl8 that we put a video together - dancing to a Britney video ... well, I've stuck to my part of the 'bargain' ....

What you're gonna see is a funny girl exercising to the beautiful Britney beat - and it is meant to bring a smile to your face - or a chuckle or two.

I was terribly tempted to litter it with 'quotes' - but then thought I'd leave it as it is.

Listen to the words of the song together with the irony in the message versus my exercise routine ...

I had fun doing it, let me know if you have fun watching it.
