Lower Subansiri Hydroelctric dam
It is unfair to ignore the concerns of the people in and around the river basin as a tresult of the large dam being constructed only to produce electricity and distribute to other states and leaving small share to the affected state of Assam. It is another example of large scal exploitation by the commercial/corporate inerest in connivance with the political power. the Brahmaputra Board with the mandate of conducting research and recommending measures for the maximumm benefit of the people and the environment advised for a multipurpose dam with lower height; this was set aside and the lobby combo are going for only power generation dam without taking the affected people into confidence. This is another instance of exploting the norteastern region. Now agitating groups vis a vis the people at large want the dam to be modified to make it multipurpose with safety measures to be taken to safeguard the biospheric specialities and livelihood of the people. They have to be convinced of all that in a suitable dialogue.

Move against corruption and black money in India
Union Govt of India committed a grave wrong in using brute force against peaceful fasting common people at midnight of Satur-Sunday in the Ramleela ground in New Delhi. People including ladies were there in support of Yoga Guru Ramdev in his movement against corruption and black money asking the Govt to control and prevent those activities effectively. It is notable that the Supreme court have asked the Govt to submit why that was done.
