  • DIGNITY OF HAZRAT ABU BAKAR RADIALLHOTALA UNHO FROM QURAN

When the Prophet [saww] fled Mecca (i.e. Hijra), he asked Ali ibn Abi Talib [ra] to lay in his bed so that the Quraish infidels would think that the Prophet [saww] was still asleep. He told Ali [ra] not to worry because no harm would come to him. The Prophet [saww] then called his closest companion, Abu Bakr [ra], to accompany him on the dangerous emigration to Medinah.
So it was that the Prophet and Abu Bakr [ra] made the Hijra together.
It is no doubt about the fact they way Hazrat Abu [ra] got the opportunity to emigrate with Prophet[saww] is appreciated by all !!! And it is for those Allah sayS
And those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard in the Cause of Allâh, as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid; - these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karîm (a generous provision i.e. Paradise). (8:74)
    Allah also says:
And as for those who emigrated for the Cause of Allâh, after suffering oppression, We will certainly give them goodly residence in this world, but indeed the reward of the Hereafter will be greater, if they but knew! (16:41)
Hence in this verse Allah[swt] predicted that Allah would give those who migrated for the cause of Allah after suffering oppression, the GOODLY RESIDENCE. Hence what would be the more GOODLY RESIDENCE then the status of CALIPHATE bestowed to Abu bakr [ra] ?
The Quraish disbelievers were giving chase, and the two men–the Prophet [saww] and Abu Bakr [ra]–hid in a cave. But the Quraish disbelievers tracked them to the cave and would have apprehended them had it not been for the miracle of the spider’s web. The spider created a web in record time, and when the Quraish disbelievers saw it, they reasoned that the Prophet [saww] couldn’t possibly be in the cave because the spider’s web extensively covered the entrace, indicating that nobody had disturbed it in quite some time.
This was the miracle of the spider’s web, which saved the Prophet [saww] and Abu Bakr [ra].
This story is mentioned in the Quran in SURAH TAUBA CH: 9 V Allah says:
“If you will not aid him (the Prophet), Allah certainly aided him when those who disbelieved expelled him; he (the Prophet) had no more than him, him being the second of the two (i.e. Abu Bakr), when they were both in the cave, when he (the Prophet) said to his companion (Abu Bakr): ‘Grieve not, surely Allah is with US.’ Then Allah caused His Sakinah (serenity, peace, tranquility, etc.) to descend upon him (Abu Bakr)” (Quran, 9:40)
All sides–both Sunni and Shia–are agreed that the companion in the cave with the Prophet [saww] was Abu Bakr [ra].
This Quranic verse (9:40) honors Abu Bakr [ra] in five ways
    FIRSTLY:
The Quran refers to Abu Bakr [ra] as the “second of the two” citing Abu Bakr [ra] as the sole partner of the Prophet [saww] in this miraculous event. This was indeed such a great honor that the Ansar forfeit their right to Caliphate and gave it instead to Abu Bakr [ra] based on this verse alone. It could be said that during the Hijra, a spider’s web saved Islam, and Abu Bakr [ra was there to witness this miracle, Allah referring to him as the “second of the two.” In fact, Abu Bakr [ra] and the Prophet’s journey is so monumental that it is the day we start our Hijri calender from.
    SECONDLY:
In this verse of the Quran, we see that Allah refers to Abu Bakr [ra] using the term “sahib” (companion) showing the closeness of the Prophet [saww] to Abu Bakr [ra]. In fact, the Prophet [saww] chose his closest companion to accompany him on this very dangerous journey; nobody other than Abu Bakr [ra] was given the honor of escorting the Prophet to Medinah. It could be said that Abu Bakr [ra] was the personal bodyguard of the Prophet of Islam, the one man trusted enough to handle the delicate mission of transporting Allah’s Messenger [saww] to safety and away from the clutches of the scheming infidels. THIRDLY:

The Prophet [saww] lovingly reassures Abu Bakr [ra] to “grieve not.”

This is the Prophet’s own personal solace and affection being given to this man, and so how can it be then that the Shia would like to curse him? Did the Prophet [saww] curse him? No, instead he reassured him and told him: don’t worry, everything will be alright.

This sentence of the Prophet [saww] proves his close relationship to Abu Bakr [ra], showing that he cannot see Abu Bakr [ra] being in grief.

The very message of GREIVE NOT are repeatedly present in Qur’an in the following verse whereby Allah consoles HIS dearer one:

“But a voice cried to her [Mariam (as)] from beneath the palm-tree: ‘Grieve not! For your Lord has made a stream to flow beneath you.’” (Quran, 19:24)

“And when Our messengers (i.e. angels) came unto Lut (as), he (Lut a.s.) was troubled upon their account, for he could not protect them; but they said: ‘ Fear not , and grieve not! Lo! we are to deliver you and your household, (all) save your wife, who is of those who stay behind.” (Quran, 29:33)
“And We revealed to Musa’s mothers, saying: ‘Give him suck, then when you fear for him, cast him into the river and fear not and grieve not; surely We will bring him back to you and make him one of the messengers” (Quran, 28:7)
“And be patient (O Muhammad [saww]) and your patience is not but by (the assistance of) Allah, and grieve not” (Quran, 16:127) FOURTHLY :
Most importantly, the Prophet [saww] continues and tells Abu Bakr [ra] that “Allah is with us.”
This is the absolute negation of the Shia paradigm. The Shia say that Abu Bakr [ra] is doomed by Allah, but here we see that the Prophet [saww] says that Allah is with Abu Bakr [ra].
And indeed it must be in a positive light since the Prophet [saww] included himself by using the word “us.”
Hence this terminology mentioned in Qur’an of Allah being with someone is solely related to Momineen & those who are pious & have Taqwa … See the following verses for the proof:
Allah is with Al-Muttaqoon (those who have Taqwa). (2:194), (9:123), (9:36)
    Allah is with Momineen. (8:19)
Allah is with those who are Al-Muhsinoon (Good Doers) (29:69), (16:128)
Hence the terminology of Prophet[saww] directing to Abu Bakr [ra] of Allah being with THEM is an explicit & ultimate proof for them to be MOMINEEN, MUTTAQEEN, MOHSINEEN (all the best qualities of a prophet) …
Hence those who deny that Abu Bakr is not a Momin is going against the Qur’anic vedict!!
    FIFTHLY:
It is proven from verse itself that Abu Bakr [ra] was grieving and worried in the cave. Therefore, logically it only makes sense that Allah would send down reassurance and serenity to Abu Bakr[ra], since the Prophet [saww] was already serene and unworried.
Allah sent his Sakinah (serenity, peace, tranquility, etc.) down upon Abu Bakr [ra]. Allah sends Sakinah down upon the MOMINEEN; (as proven from Qur’an) Another verse confirming the DIGNITY OF ABU BAKR [ra]:

And he who brings the Truth and he who confirms (and supports) it – such are the men who are Al- Muttaqûn. They shall have all that they will desire with their Lord. That is the reward of Muhsinûn . So that Allâh may remit from them the evil of what they did and give them the reward, according to the best of what they used to do. (Surah Az-Zumrar Ch: 39 V: 33-35)
Allama Tabarasi, a prominent Shia Mufassir says in Majma’al-bayan:
It is said that the one who brings the truth is Muhammed[saww] & the one who confirms it is Abu Bakr.Above verses imply that Abu Bakr [ra] was:

    • Siddique

    • Momin

    • Muttaqi

    • Mohsin

The status of Siddique as Qur’an has made the numbering in the following verse:

And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad [saww]), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets (1), the Siddiqûn (2), the martyrs (3), and the righteous (4). And how excellent these companions are! (4:69)
