"Poetic Justice "A DREAM Come TRUE

I love to read and write poetry.I started reading ,anything I could get my hands on since I was a toddler.

In school of course did some ,Poetry,Not much ,Especially since I never went past 8Th grade .

Never completed school ,but that did not stop me from continuing to read and educate myself .

I won't bore everyone with details ,since it in its self is a novel .My life story that is.

My husband did not complete school either left, High School due to his parents needing him to work in order to help support their family.

We were childhood sweethearts/first loves.

To condense originally folks were OK with us being of a different race. He is African American &Multi - Ethnic I am White but, I go by other who really knows. We are the Human Race .But,then Hate set in .

My Mom forbid me to see him.My Mom became abusive,etc.Long story .
Eventually I ran away from Home .I was brought back several times by my Husband ,But last time after being stabbed with a fork ,my Husband said no more

OK ,so we are together two teens in Love.One thing lead to another.Shortly after we were parents.

Many struggles, children (10 in all) many jobs trades ,whatever it took to get by .

My husband took his GED ,next month applied to college was accepted.Major in English Pre -Law Political science.

He worked 2 jobs 1 at school to help pay for books etc.

I stayed home raised children ,but I also read all his books.When I got a hold of his Pose and Fiction book I was in LOVE.

I read and wrote .Mostly read everything .

Life is a struggle but, a blessing,many, many .years later ,after children pretty much grown up last of our Loves at Home 3 Sons 20,,17,&14 .

Well now it is my turn & my Man supports me 150% YAY!!!

I start writing fiercely just out of a Love for it, everyone Enjoyed .
I thought my Family had to say it was good because I fix their meals .LOL

Folks would stop by my web pages and comment.So I said well OK maybe I can write.Firstly, I Truly enjoy it so that is all that matters.

I always encourage everyone to follow yours Dreams it is a long shot but,when it is all said and done you know you tried.

I was Spotlighted on April 9,2008 as Poet/Poetess of the Day for "Poetic Justice"

Finally HUH I know everyone is saying get to it I am I am Patience *SMILE*

She chose the poem Like she said last night at one point she was not fond of Poetry cause folks thought of it as Words of Dead old White Men LMAO Kind true but some of those guys ROCKED !!!!

Anywho , Last night was BAS Pilot Show Live Via Phone /Internet Yours
Truly and several FABULOUS Poets and Poetesses.Were Guests of Diane's
Informative,Sharing,GENEROUS,Entertaining Show.

SHOUT OUT to Diane you did FABULOUSLY!!!!

She surprised us all with turning our poems into a book ,of our Poetry featuring me as well .

It is going to be a book of poet /poetesses featured on BAS .Available soon.

I was too chicken to read my poem over the air .(I've Never read my poetry aloud before)

But,My Dear Friend from BAS Juanita Did *THANK YOU Juanita* from the bottom of my HEART GOD BLESS you read it with Feeling & Power)

My Poetic Justice Dream has become true .With my Family in the back round ,Cheering & everyone on the show Clapping loudly my Dream was fulfilled .

I write for myself mostly it is my Poetic Therapy a release and Gentle pieces of my Soul.

But,to see my work make other grow to Love poetry (I'm glad you are a more of a believer now Diane YAY!!!!)

Yes,poetry can be many things Sadness,Happiness,Love,Fantasy,Educate,Horror,Poli- tics=I want to tap into a political one look out it ,s brewing lol)etc.

I am so HAPPY!!!!

I'm going to be Published and my poem will touch others .I will ALWAYS ,ALWAYS,continue to read and ENCOURAGE other fellow Poets and Poetesses.

I LOVE POETRY!!!!
I want to share ,enlighten,help,encourage,and see anyone with a similar Dream to Achieve their goal.

Poetic Justice

Expectorating the daily slime

Through my poetic rhyme

Each stroke of my quill

Flushing away the landfill

Weapon of choice is my intellect

Bring on the next,issue and/or suspect

Pitching stanzas' from my bullpen

Captured on the paper linesmen

Oh its' on its' a prose filled wartime

Through my verse, I will restore peacetime

Jotting fiercely,extinguishing injustice

Slowly, steadily, achieving a poetic justice
