I once took a room with a view,
when my passions were young and new,
and I waited the twilight through
for love's tender rendezvous.

Life has come and days have gone
the longest nights have become dawn.
While I await my lovers song
amidst desire's hold, so strong.

Colors light the morning mist,
as love becomes the catalyst
for feelings from within my heart...
sensations I want not to start.

As if to tell me once again
to let my soul soar in the rain,
my eyes remind me of the flame
and all that passion can reclaim.

So I will take up life anew
with deep desires to pursue.
and spend one cosmic night with you
in this room with heaven's view.
